Was not pleased with the yarn at ALL. Right from the get go.
As I started the project . the skein of yarn was a tangled mess.
as I was knitting big clumps of the yarn would pull from the center not allowing you to work any futher. I therefore began once again from the out side and that was even a bigger mess and challenge. I was then forced to rewind the entire tangled ball before I was able to continue. By the time I was able to make much progress the yarn was already starting to fuzz up. Not a good sign as I have worked with another BRAND of the same type and just after a few wears of the scarf or sweater is a real mess as it fuzzs . I thought that I would give your yarn a try for the scarf I'm making for a friend with Country Loom in Falling Leaves. Your color combinations are beautiful and wish the yarn was a better quality other than being soft , but will be a rea fuzzl mess after a few washes and wears , which is a real shame after so much time is spent creating your project .

First of all, size M crochet hook (which is recommended) is too small. Yarn is impossible to pull from the skein...so many knots...and the yarn separates very badly!

This yarn goes very quickly -- I can go through an entire skein in less than it takes to watch a movie -- but it just doesn't make much. I'd expect to get at least 40% more from a skein of yarn. Colors are pretty and the consistency is great, but for my money it just doesn't beat Lion Brand Homespun. [This is an unpaid review.]

I've made several hats and mittens out of this yarn. It knits pretty well, it's super soft, comfy, and warm. I would highly recommend this as a novice/budget project yarn.

Loved this yarn. It's gorgeous and warm. As others have said it works up quickly (too quickly for the price). I'm a crocheter and it was a pleasure to work with using larger hook sizes. I use "N" or larger. I only wish my local Michaels carried more of the available colors. Their color choice is always limited which is surprising considering it is supposed to be the store brand. Price is prohibitive so I never pay full price and always wait for it to go on sale and then stock up with what is available.

I agree with the other comments, the yarn goes rather quickly. I made a wrap/shawl, it worked up in 5 skeins, using an N hook I got about 14 rows out of one skein @ 39 chains wide (pics below). It's a tad expensive, however, the feel is luxurious and when I was working on the project I got so many compliments on the yarn.
I would definitely recommend this yarn for a smaller project.

I was very excited to use this product after being away from knitting for so many years, and I like the result. My lack of experience made me buy too not enough yarn. Now with the new fall colors and my project nearly 3/4 done I am unable to get the color 01705 CARAVAN anywhere.... Should anyone have some left in their stash please let me know.

I really liked the quality of this yarn. It was easy to work with and made a thick warm scarf for my first knitting project. The only problem I have with it is you dont get very much for the price. 104 yards is nothing when creating a project.

The biggest flaw with this yarn is that it tends to want to separate. Knitting with it can be challenging as the needles often slip between the strands of the yarn. Otherwise, it is very solid yarn. It should be fine for knitters with some experience who tend to work loosely.

I have been thrilled with the country loom yarn from the first time I picked up a few skeins. I usually use a coupon or sale to stock up.
I have been crocheting with it this season, and love the results, as do the recipients of the scarves, hats, boot cuffs, infinity scarves....well you get the drift.
I would like to see more solid colors, even if it had a fleck of another color like the red does.
I look forward to creating an afghan as soon as I complete the requests.

Some chemicals bother me and because of this I let my nose do a lot of my shopping. Country Loom has a bit of a smell while knitting but it doesn't stuff me up. After the first wash my sweaters are odorless. For someone who can not wear a lot of store bought sweaters this is a big plus. It does split a bit when knitting but not a lot, overall it is really easy to work with. I love the how fast it knits up. Super warm for sweaters or blankets. Every time this yarn goes on sale I stock up. I LOVE that it is made in Canada.
My only complaint - I would love to see some solid colours.

Absolutely love this yarn! Found the color solarium and bought a multitude of skeins, didn't have clue what I was going to do with it. Found it months later while packing to move and had a wild hair that inspired me to make a pattern for an afghan... specifically for this yarn. the afghan has come out nicely, but I'm rather disappointed that I couldn't find this same yarn with a yellow/orange combination.
"Starry Night" was the goal, maybe you'll make an orange/yellow so I can add one later!

This is my go to yarn for a bulky weight. it isn't stiff, has a lot of flow and creates great items.
I do wish they had a nice pastel pink though(not babyish), that is my only suggestion.

I have used this yarn to make 2 afghans from the same pattern. I love it! It's easy to work with. It makes a cuddly and warm afghan that just makes you want to snuggle into it. I would definitely use it again.,
My biggest complaint is: we need more colors!!!
There are some awful pinkish-red colors, lavendar and blues, but where are the basic greens & tans?

I must say I love this yarn!!!! I've used this yarn to make a huge warm blanket and scarfs for friends. Every time someone touches and wraps themselves up into the blanket they proclaim how warm and soft it is and how much they want one too. Scarfs are so warm and soft that friends love it for the cold weather.
But the one thing I figured out using this yarn is that when making a scarf using a mix of single and double crochet stitches is best otherwise the single makes the scarf overly bulky. But single is best for a blanket. ^_^

This wool was just perfect for the project I had in mind - infinity scarves. They are close to the face and needed to be made out of a very soft wool - nothing scratchy!! I found Country Loom easy to work with and like that it is machine wash and dryable. It is expensive at full price but you can always use a coupon or wait for a promotion!

I found none of the problems tha others did... perhaps because i'm a seasoned knitter and crocheter,, but this yarn did exactly what i wanted it to....i made a "cocoon" for a baby and it was soft, worked up quick and not too dense..I think for crochet it requires a really big hook, but if bulky and quick is what your looking for this is the yarn for a good price...
